Position based in Guaynabo and with projects across Puerto Rico. The incumbent must possess at a minimum 3 years of experience and Ace Programmer Certification (AMX) and Control4 TECH I Programmer Certification.  The job duties include:

 


Create, modify and test the code that allow the automation controller to run, control, monitor the different subsystems with a project application. Work from specifications drawn up by software developers or other individuals. May assist equipment manufactures to jointly develop drivers by analyzing end-user needs and designing software solutions. May develop and write the source code to store, locate and retrieve specific documents, data and information in order to control, integrate and monitor different systems. Based on the specific needs of a project application, design the logic, create the source code, correct errors by making

appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced. Conduct trial runs of source code (program) and necessary troubleshooting to be sure the system will produce the desired information. Write, update and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment. Write, analyze, review and rewrite programs, using workflow chart and diagram and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Perform repairs or expansion of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt new requirements. Consult with managerial, engineering, and technical personnel to clarify project application intent, identify problems and suggest changes. Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so other can understand the program. Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output and logical operations and convert them into a series of instructions coded into the automation controller(s). Investigate whether networks, controller-to-controller, main central controller or processing unit of the system, or peripheral controller(s) communications are responding to a source code or program instructions. Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users to operate the system.
